We wish to inform our customers and business partners of a notice we recently received from the laboratory Nutrilab. According to Nutrilab, there are analysis certificates circulating in the market that may not correspond to their original analyses.
Following this, Nutrilab has reported the matter to the judicial authorities and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). This specifically concerns analysis certificates issued by Nutrilab.
Within the Non-Consumptive Substances category, we have, in cooperation with Nutrilab, invested in a proprietary database containing NIR analysis data. This database has been developed to enable accurate and reliable product identification. Based on this exclusive data, there is a high likelihood that any Nutrilab COA for products in this category, where we are not the recipient of the certificate, is not correct.
Within the European Union, analysis certificates are accepted when they originate from laboratories that are accredited in line with applicable EU frameworks and designated by the competent authorities. This ensures that product analyses comply with the relevant laws and regulations and that the information contained in these certificates is reliable.
We therefore advise customers and business partners to carefully review any analysis certificates they receive. If you have doubts regarding a Nutrilab certificate for a product in the Non-Consumptive Substances category, please contact us. This allows the origin and authenticity to be verified and helps prevent decisions based on inaccurate information.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take measures to safeguard the integrity of product information in our industry. In addition, just like the aforementioned parties, we will also take legal action against these offenders.
